What Is This
The Championship

The Summer 2026 Ultimate Skyrim Marathon Championship is a competitive 12-hour LAN event built around The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Ten competitors sit down together in one room, start new characters simultaneously, and spend twelve hours accumulating the most points possible.

Points are earned through measurable in-game accomplishments pulled directly from Skyrim's built-in statistics system, quests completed, dragons slain, dungeons cleared, skills mastered, shouts unleashed, property purchased, and dozens more tracked metrics.

The event is governed by the Gamer Shed LAN Committee (GSLC), a council responsible for rules, scoring balance, officiation, and the long-term growth of competitive LAN gaming. At the close of the 12th hour, every competitor's stats are read aloud and entered into the official scoring spreadsheet in front of all players. One name walks away as Champion.

Each competitor receives an official handbook and score sheet. An Officiator manages the timeline, enforces the rules, and ensures competitive integrity throughout the day.

How Points Are Earned
Point System

Scoring in the USMC is based entirely on measurable statistics tracked automatically by Skyrim's in-game Stats page. No manual tracking is required during gameplay. At the end of the event, each competitor displays their Stats page and every value is entered into the official scoring spreadsheet in front of all players.

There are six distinct scoring categories, each with different mechanics. Understanding how they interact is the key to building a high-scoring strategy.

Core System
Uncapped ratio points that scale with everything you do
Master Bounties
Flat bonuses for reaching high thresholds in a category
Faction System
Questlines and stat-based bounties organized by faction
Special Categories
Houses, horses, and the Adventurer's Path checklist
Superlatives
Three random winner-take-all categories drawn at the end
Bunny Clause
A high-risk high-reward mechanic all its own
Questline Completion Bonuses
Separate from the scaling categories below, completing an entire questline from start to finish awards a flat +4 points, whether it's the main storyline or a faction questline. This is tracked by the game's "Questlines Completed" stat. Completing a faction questline also upgrades that faction's bounties (see the Faction System below).
01
Category Rate How it works
Main Quests Completed 6 pts each Each individual main story quest completed earns 6 points.
Side Quests Completed 5 pts each Each side quest completed earns 5 points, plus a chain bonus of +2 points for every 5 side quests completed. Example: 10 side quests = 50 base + 4 chain bonus = 54 points.
Faction Quests Completed 4 pts each Quests completed within any faction (Companions, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, etc.) earn 4 points each. This is a combined total across all factions.
DLC Quests Completed 5 pts each Quests completed within the Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC storylines earn 5 points each.
Misc. Objectives Completed 1 pt each Small tasks and errands tracked by the game (delivering items, gathering ingredients, etc.) earn 1 point each, plus a +1 bonus for every 5 completed.
Daedric Quests Completed 4 pts each Each of the 15 Daedric Prince quests earns 4 points. Completing 8 or more also triggers a Master Bounty bonus.
Dragon Souls Collected 3 pts each Every dragon killed and absorbed earns 3 points. Collecting 25 or more also triggers a Master Bounty bonus.
Words of Power Unlocked 2 pts each Each individual word of power that is unlocked by spending a dragon soul earns 2 points.
Shouts Mastered 3 pts each Fully unlocking each individual word of a shout grants shout mastery. 3 points are awarded per shout mastered.
Skills Increased 1 pt per 4 Every time any of the 18 in-game skills increase in level, the counter goes up. You earn 1 point for every 4 skill increases.
Total Character Level 2 pts per level Your total character level earns 2 points per level. Leveling happens automatically as skills increase.
Total Kills 1 pt per 20 The game tracks all kills across people, animals, creatures, daedra, undead, and automatons. You earn 1 point for every 20 total kills.
Dungeons Cleared 3 pts each Each dungeon fully cleared earns 3 points, plus a chain bonus of +3 for every 5 dungeons cleared. Clearing 35 or more also triggers a Master Bounty bonus.
Locations Discovered 1 pt per 4 Every new location discovered on the map earns 1 point per 4. Discovering 150 or more triggers a Master Bounty bonus.

Layer 1
Faction Bounties
Each faction has a set of specific stat thresholds tied to that faction's playstyle. Hitting a threshold earns a flat 5-point bonus. These are available to everyone regardless of whether you've joined or completed that faction's questline. You can earn Thieves Guild bounties without ever speaking to a Guild member, as long as your in-game stats meet the threshold at the end of the event.
Layer 2
Faction Mastery Upgrade
Completing a faction's full questline upgrades every bounty in that faction's category from 5 to 6 points each, applied retroactively to bounties you already earned. This is separate from the flat +4 questline bonus described at the top of the page: that +4 is awarded once for any completed questline, while this upgrade specifically boosts the value of that faction's bounties. Fully committing to a faction therefore rewards you on both fronts.

Houses & Horses
The only way to convert accumulated gold into points. Both houses owned and total horses owned are tracked by the in-game Stats page and scored at the end of the event. Horses that die during gameplay still count toward the stat total. Owning all five houses also triggers the Mogul Master Bounty for an additional +20 points.

The competitor with the single highest Bunnies Slaughtered count at the end of the event receives +10 points.
0
Zero Bunnies Killed
Competitors who do not kill a single bunny are completely unaffected. No penalty, no reward.
-10
Killed Bunnies, But Not the Most
Any competitor who killed at least one bunny but does not hold the highest count loses 10 points. There are no partial outcomes.
The Bunny Clause creates a genuine strategic decision: commit fully and hunt aggressively to guarantee the top count, or leave every bunny alive. Killing even one bunny without winning the category is a 10-point penalty.
