EA FC 25 players might be busy with the Team of the Year promo as of writing, but the Future Stars promo is expected to be available soon in Ultimate Team.

If leaks are to be believed, Future Stars will be the next promo and the potential successor for the TOTY celebrations. Of course, Future Stars will be a returning campaign, as it was available in EA FC 24 as well. So far, EA Sports has remained tight-lipped about their plans, but certain cards have already been leaked.

All EA FC 25 Future Stars promo players (leaks)

It appears that EA Sports will be following last year's structure with the Future Stars promo. In simpler words, there will be special cards for both active footballers and former legends. The leaks, as of writing, might be limited, but some interesting names have already popped up.

  • Lamine Yamal
  • Xabi Alonso CDM 91
  • Lucas Beraldo
  • Johann Cruyff
  • Endrick
  • Emilio Butragueno
  • Leny Yoro
  • Kenan Yildiz
  • George Best
  • Robin Van Persie
  • Romeo Lavia
  • Connor Bradley
  • Bobby Charlton
  • Benjamin Sesko
  • Joao Gomes
  • Jamie Bynoe-Gittens

Out of all the cards leaked so far, we have confirmation about Alonso's overall rating and potential. Details about the remaining leaks are unavailable at the time of writing. They will be updated once we have more information in the lead-up to the release.

EA FC 25 Future Stars promo release date

The TOTY cards are going to be available in packs till Friday, January 31. That's the same day the Future Stars promo is expected to go live in Ultimate Team. The new cards will be available in packs, and it's safe to expect some of the items to be made available via objectives and SBCs.

So far, we have no confirmation about whether Future Stars will be a one-week or two-week-long promo. It will also be interesting to find out if EA Sports will reintroduce the Academy Stars Evolution. Last year, we were able to upgrade six different items of our choice with massive upgrades. It will certainly be a cool addition for those who miss out on getting a TOTY item.

How to escape the gas in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 4 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-escape-the-gas-in-poppy-playtime-chapter-4/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-escape-the-gas-in-poppy-playtime-chapter-4 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-escape-the-gas-in-poppy-playtime-chapter-4/#respond Thu, 30 Jan 2025 22:03:32 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1004264 Poppy Playtime Chapters 2 and 3 coming to console

The Safe Haven DLC marks the continuation of Poppy Playtime, and you can explore the fourth chapter of your scary adventure.

If you have cleared the previous chapters, you'll be in a familiar setting. The objective once again will be to survive and escape before you meet your untimely death. You'll encounter different threats and puzzles along the way, involving a deadly gas. You'll have to escape from it not once but twice in Chapter 4.

Let's take a look at how you can survive the deadly horrors of the gas and escape with your health intact.

How to survive the gas in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 4

Two gas traps will be in your way during this chapter.

  • Escaping the Prison and a Red Gas trap.
  • Killing the Doctor and avoiding the Frozen Gas trap.

As you begin your adventure, Poppy will guide you to the Playtime Co. Factory, and you'll come across a prison door after solving a few puzzles. At one stage, you'll have to find the key to start a train. As you get trapped by the Doctor, it will mark the start of your adventures.

Surviving the Red Gas Trap

Once you wake up after starting the train, you'll find yourself locked in the Prison. The first task is to escape it, and you can do so by completing the following steps.

  • Use your Blue Glove to grapple the Swing Bar.
  • Climb up, and you'll find a broken vent. Use your Blue Glove to open the Blue Door on the lower floor.
  • Go back down to the prison cell and open the unlocked door.
  • You'll notice a hole in the ground, so jump down through it.
  • You'll find the Red Glove in the room beside the other cell. This glove will allow you to open the security doors.
  • Once you get the Red Glove, you'll be attacked by certain critters. You can escape from them by closing the doors or shooting flares towards them to scare them off.
  • You'll be able to find the control room by going straight through the corridor. Enter 3255 as the correct code, and take the exit door to continue until you reach another control room. Again, unlock the first door with your Blue Glove.
  • The next area will have the Access Card on the table.
  • The next couple of doors will be open, and another corridor will take you to a stone blockade.

This will be the first moment you'll have to escape the gas as the Doctor starts releasing the toxic substance.

  • There will be broken bars around the cage. Break the bars with your Blue Glove and jump down.
  • Avoid the pipe leaking the gas, and go to the end of the corridor.
  • You'll find some wooden panels that you'll have to remove and then go left.
  • Once you reach the room at the end, you'll get a table with a Valve wheel.
  • Take the wheel, return to the crack where you came from, but take the left one. Crouch through the steel cage till you reach the leaking pipe.
  • Place the wheel on the pipe, allowing you to stop the leakage.
  • Head upstairs to the control room, and you'll find another puzzle to solve. You'll have to enter the code 3642 to clear the gas.

Surviving the Frozen Gas Trap

Eventually, the Doctor will introduce you to a character named Yarnby, who will try to hunt you. Your immediate job will be to reach Safe Haven and then eliminate Yarnby before you can take on the Doctor. The main problem with this task will be the leaking gas that can freeze and kill you.

  • After eliminating Yarnby, Doey will brief you about Frozen Pipes.
  • Once you enter the next room after surviving Yarnby, you'll find multiple leaking pipes. The gas can hurt you if you get too close.
  • Interact with the slider on the pipe to close it down. Then shoot your glove through the gas, and you'll be able to turn the valve of the second pipe.
  • Continue along the path, and you'll find yourself in a strange room with another trap.
  • Open the compartment marked '2', and you'll find a Battery.
  • Pick the Battery up with your right glove and place it behind the Saw machine. Doing so will start the machine.
  • Pull the Saw to the other side to cut the attached Blue Glove.
  • Pick the Blue Glove and take it to the Temperature Control area. Put it on the scanner, which will stop the gas and open the door.

That's how you can save yourself from the Frozen Gas Trap in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 4.

Monopoly GO has tons of different events for you to participate in, from daily tournaments to monthly Partners events and seasonal minigames with dozens of valuable rewards. Events are the way to go if you want to keep your dice high and obtain prizes like Wild Stickers and five-star card packs.

Monopoly GO event schedule

As of January 30, 2025, Monopoly GO has an ongoing main event, tournament, and Peg-E's Prize Drop. Plushie Partners recently ended, with Peg-E's Prize Drop following almost immediately after. A new season, Artful Tales, also began earlier this month and will last until March 2025.

Let's check out every Monopoly GO event, tournament, and season, including any publicly known upcoming events.

Season - Artful Tales

  • Start Date: January 16, 2025

  • End Date: January 31, 2025, 5 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. ET

The next Monopoly GO main event will begin on January 31, 2025, at 5 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. ET. Winter Games is your first opportunity to receive Peg-E Prize Drop tokens, giving you a quick head start toward obtaining brand-new emojis and board tokens. As you collect points, you'll advance through numerous reward tiers, with this version focusing on giving you dice.

The previous event was Plushie Partners, a team event where you and four partners collect Teddy Bear tokens, spin a points wheel, and build up some adorable plushie buildings. Along the way, you'll receive various prizes, with the grand prize including 5,000 dice, a Swap Pack, and a Husky token.

Monopoly GO Quick Wins list - January 30

Alongside your regular events and minigames, Monopoly GO also has a Quick Wins list that gives you a small amount of dice and cash. Each day, you can collect various milestone prizes for finishing all three Quick Wins, with a weekly prize usually consisting of five-star packs or Wild Stickers.

Monopoly GO's daily Quick Win tasks are among the most helpful ways to get dice, cash, and sticker packs as a new or experienced player. These rewards can make a huge difference between completing your seasonal sticker packs and being just a few cards short.

Today's Monopoly GO Quick Wins tasks and rewards

Monopoly GO has three Quick Win objectives you can complete daily. These are typically quick and easy tasks you can finish to gain some small rewards and advance through a weekly prize pool. While early week rewards are small, the grand prize is usually a Five-Star pack, Swap Pack, or a Wild Sticker if we're lucky.

Here's a complete list of today's Quick Win tasks and rewards, updated on January 30, 2025.

Quick Win Rewards
Roll five times One-Star Sticker Pack
Three Peg-E Prize Drop tokens
Three progress points
Complete one Bank Heist Cash
Five Peg-E Prize Drop tokens
Four progress points
Upgrade two Landmarks 15 Dice
Seven Peg-E Prize Drop tokens
Five progress points

What are Quick Win tasks?

Monopoly GO's Quick Wins are daily tasks you complete for weekly rewards. You'll receive five small prizes daily, including dice, low-tier sticker packs, or emojis. The end-of-week reward is the most valuable, ranging between a Five-Star pack, Swap Packs, or even a Wild Sticker.

Here are some Quick Win objectives you might encounter throughout your Monopoly GO playthrough:

  • Pass Go X times
  • Collect one sticker
  • Land on X space one time
  • Collect cash
  • Roll doubles X times
  • Upgrade X landmarks
  • Complete a Landmark Shutdown/Bank Heist X times

Since these are daily tasks, Scopely has designed them to be relatively easy to complete, even if you're a new player. However, you may still miss a few, especially if you're out of dice or don't get opportunities to open sticker packs.

How to find Monopoly GO's Quick Win task list

Monopoly GO Quick Wins button
Screenshot by Destructoid

Your Quick Wins list is available directly on your main Monopoly GO screen. After loading in and arriving on your board, tap the "Wins" button in the bottom left corner of your screen to find your Quick Win objectives. You'll also spot a timer until the list refreshes, your weekly progress, and a reward bar at the bottom of the screen.

How many Quick Wins can you miss?

In Monopoly GO, completing all three Quick Win objectives daily will grant you 84 progress points a week. You only need 74 points to get a week's grand prize, allowing you to miss up to ten points worth of tasks.

Monopoly GO Quick Wins points
Screenshot by Destructoid

However, one day gives you 12 points, so you can't miss a full day. Instead, you can have one day to complete the first task and skip the last two or two days to miss the third objective. As long as your missed tasks don't exceed ten progress points, you're in the clear for the week's end.

Tips for completing Monopoly GO Daily Quick Wins

Your exact strategies to finish your Quick Win tasks will depend on the day's objectives. While some days rely heavily on your dice rolls, others focus on upgrading landmarks and collecting stickers. That said, below are some tips for ensuring you complete all three of your daily Quick Win tasks and get your weekly grand prize:

  • Log on every day, even for a few minutes. Missing one day automatically locks you out of the weekly grand prize until the following week!
  • Try to finish your objectives early in the day so you don't forget about them later.
  • Plan your dice rolling, sticker trading, and money spending carefully. If you upgrade your landmarks before it appears as a Quick Win task, there's a chance you won't be able to finish it unless you have enough dice to collect more cash.
  • If you're not active in the sticker trading community, ask a friend or family member to swap one-star cards for sticker-collecting tasks.
  • If you run out of dice and need to complete a task like passing Go or rolling doubles, use resources like events, tournaments, and free dice links to obtain some more.

Good luck finishing your Quick Wins and grabbing some weekly prizes. Whether you're completing a Partners event or want to snag a five-star pack, hopping on and completing these is one of the easiest ways to get valuables items each week, especially if you're a new player who doesn't have access to thousands of dice and tens of thousands of levels worth of profile upgrades.

Is Genetic Apex gone in Pokemon TCG Pocket? https://www.destructoid.com/is-genetic-apex-gone-in-pokemon-tcg-pocket/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=is-genetic-apex-gone-in-pokemon-tcg-pocket https://www.destructoid.com/is-genetic-apex-gone-in-pokemon-tcg-pocket/#respond Thu, 30 Jan 2025 20:08:57 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1004259 Pokemon TCG Pocket Genetic Apex packs

Pokemon TCG Pocket has recurring events to make things more interesting, from Mass Outbreaks that increase the odds of finding certain Pokemon card types to Space-Time Smackdown, among others. However, whenever event-exclusive packs come out, Genetic Apex mysteriously disappears. Don't worry, though; you can still open them right now.

Are Genetic Apex packs gone in Pokemon TCG Pocket?

During Pokemon TCG Pocket events like Space-Time Smackdown, Genetic Apex packs are pushed away from the home screen and instead appear in a separate menu. On your booster pack screen, tap "Select other booster packs" to see every available option, including any current event-exclusive packs, Genetic Apex, and more.

Pokemon TCG Pocket other booster pack option
Screenshot by Destructoid

The most likely reason Genetic Apex packs disappear from the home screen is that Pokemon TCG Pocket can advertise ongoing event packs with higher odds of special cards. For example, Space-Time Smackdown features rare cards like Dialga ex, Palkia ex, and Lucario that you can't currently get anywhere else, allowing you to expand your deck beyond usual means.

You can change your booster pack without penalty if you want to return to a more familiar pack. Similarly, if you recently swapped to Genetic Apex but want to try some event packs, you can return to the booster pack list and check them out.

Beyond this, the process is the same. Once you pick Genetic Apex as your current booster pack, you'll find your usual Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo as options. However, closing your Pokemon TCG Pocket app and returning later will show you the event's booster pack screen again, so you'll need to set it back to Genetic Apex each time. If the event ends before you return, you won't have to worry about this until another one starts.

How to unlock the Mailbox in Hello Kitty Island Adventure https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-unlock-the-mailbox-in-hello-kitty-island-adventure/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-unlock-the-mailbox-in-hello-kitty-island-adventure https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-unlock-the-mailbox-in-hello-kitty-island-adventure/#respond Thu, 30 Jan 2025 20:05:27 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1004190 Mailbox in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

The early stages of Hello Kitty Island Adventure restrict you from certain features, whether it be with swimming or fast travel. For this guide, we'll show you how to unlock the Mailbox, opening the door to a plethora of fast travel points around the map.

How do you unlock the Mailbox in Hello Kitty Island Adventure?

When you approach the Mailboxes in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, a notification will pop up, hinting that 'Someone must know how to use this...' That someone is Kuromi, a key character who will guide you through her quest: Delivery Service. You'll unlock this mission after powering up the gate to Spooky Swamp.

Kuromi will ask you to activate the Mailbox near her, triggering a quest to deliver a Pumpkin to My Melody. You won't be able to use the fast travel yet, so you'll have to do it the old-fashioned way by walking over to My Melody.

As you progress, you'll encounter Cinnamoroll, who plays a crucial role in unlocking the fast travel system. Now, you can use the Mailbox outside of My Melody's store to instantly transport yourself to the Spooky Swamp. Complete the rest of the Delivery Service quest by giving Kuromi the Coastal Potted Plant (you'll receive this from Cinnamoroll).

All Hello Kitty Island Adventure Mailbox locations

You must activate the Mailboxes first to use fast travel points across the map. This step requires you to explore Hello Kitty Island Adventure's world as much as possible, which will take quite a while. But if you don't want to go through the hassle of finding every Mailbox, we'll break down each map to help you discover them all.

Seaside Resort Mailboxes will be accessible after completing the Delivery Service. Simply travel to each one to unlock the fast travel points there.

You'll unlock the Spooky Swamp after completing the Power Up the Gate quest, where you'll find Kuromi and Keroppi.

Rainbow Reef

Before venturing to Rainbow Reef, get the Flippers and Snorkel to access specific locations. It should also be noted that the Mailbox in the bottom-right corner will only unlock after you complete the Straight to Your Heart quest.

Mount Hothead

On the top-left corner of the map, you'll find Mount Hothead. You can reach this area by swimming or using the bridge at Gemstone Mountain.

Reaching Gemstone Mountain can be tricky since the entrance is pretty hidden. You can either wait until you unlock the 'A Zipline Adventure' quest or climb up there through the northern side of the Spooky Swamp. Additionally, the Ice Peak fast travel point (top-right corner icon) will only unlock after completing A Challenging Rescue mission.

Ice Peak

Only one Mailbox can be found at Ice Peak, which is at the very top of the mountain. You'll reach this area during the A Challenging Rescue quest.

Merry Meadow

You'll discover the Merry Meadow during the Curious Caverns quest. Pompompurin will lead you there, walking you through a waterfall.

Cloud Island

Cloud Island Mailbox locations

Upon completing the Stargazing quest, you'll be up in the skies of Cloud Island. You must use Cloud Rides here to reach various islands, which requires you to conquer other missions stationed there.

City Town

You must complete the Ship Shape and Into the Fog quests to access City Town. It'll probably take you a while to reach this point, as you'll need to reach Friendship Level 7 with Badtz-maru, Keroppi, Kuromi, Chococat, and Cinnamoroll.

More fast travel points may be included if a new region is added to an update. City Town is the most recent one, derived from Hello Kitty Island Adventure 2.0. Therefore, we'll have to see what new adventures await, especially with the game's Nintendo Switch and PC debut.

The Marta TOTY Honorable Mentions SBC is now live in EA FC 25, and you can complete the challenge to unlock a special card for your Ultimate Team squad.

The veteran Brazilian has once again made it to the TOTY promo despite missing a spot among the starters. To play with the item, you'll have to complete the challenge before it expires from Ultimate Team. Let's take a look at the easiest way to solve the challenge, and if the SBC is worth completing at all.

EA FC 25 Marta TOTY Honorable Mentions SBC tasks

The Marta TOTY Honorable Mentions SBC has only one task, and here are its conditions.

Task - Marta TOTY Honorable Mentions SBC

  • Min. 1 Players from: Brazil
  • Min. 1 Players: Team of the Week
  • Min. Team Rating: 85

EA FC 25 Marta TOTY Honorable Mentions SBC solutions

Here's a set of solutions you can use to unlock Marta's special card in Ultimate Team. It's a really simple challenge, and you should be having the required fodder in your club.

Task - Marta TOTY Honorable Mentions SBC

  • Any 9 85-rated items
  • Any 85-rated TOTW item
  • Casemiro 84

For 50,000 coins worth of fodder, you'll be able to get a TOTY Honorable Mentions item, so the pricing is on point. However, the item could have been a lot better than what it is. The card can play in four different positions, but the stats are pretty mediocre. She also has only a single playstyle+, which reduces her potential in competitive modes.

A SBC with a higher completion cost offering a better card will have been far better than what we have received, and that's my biggest issue with this current Honorable Mentions challenge. If you're a beginner, completing the SBC will be well worth your time. Sadly, most players are likely going to have better cards in their squads at this point in time.

The Lunar New Year Event 2025 has been out for a few days now in Jujutsu Infinite, and many players are intrigued about Red Envelopes.

This item is exclusively part of the limited-time event, and they are a great source of valuable items inside the game. These consumables will help you get special chests that include every piece of item that is associated with the special event. Here's how you can get them.

Best ways to farm Red Envelopes in Jujutsu Infinite

There are two main ways to get a Red Envelope in Jujutsu Infinite.

  • Snake Talismans: You can obtain these throughout the Lunar New Year event and use them to purchase Red Envelopes from the Black Market trader. To purchase one Envelope, you'll have to spend 5 Snake Talismans. Here's how you can earn as many talismans as possible.
  • Red Envelope Chests: I am not sure why this mechanism is present in Jujutsu Infinite, but you can open Red Envelope Chests to get Red Envelopes. The system feels strange as you spend Red Envelopes to open the chests in the first place.

All Red Envelope Chest rewards in Jujutsu Infinite

Red Envelope Chests can only be opened with Red Envelopes. They always contain Uncommon rewards or above, all items from part of the Lunar New Year Event celebration.

Uncommon

  • Dark Tang Suit
  • Scale Patterned Trousers
  • Lunar Fireworks
  • Snake Charm
  • Dumplings

Rare

  • Patterned Tang Suit
  • Gilded Patterned Trousers

Legendary

  • Floral Tang Suit
  • Dark Patterned Trousers

Special Grade

  • Lunar New Years Cloak
  • Red Suit of Good Luck
  • Red Trousers of Good Luck
  • Black Mask of The Snake
  • Red Mask of The Snake

Red Envelopes can be earned only until the Lunar New Year Event is live in Jujutsu Infinite. Hence, players have little over 10 days as of writing, as it all wraps up on February 9.

How to get Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-flippers-in-hello-kitty-island-adventure/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-get-flippers-in-hello-kitty-island-adventure https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-flippers-in-hello-kitty-island-adventure/#respond Thu, 30 Jan 2025 17:33:22 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1002421 Unlocking Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

When you first step into the waters of Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you can't swim around freely. That's because you won't have the necessary gear, which is where the handy Flippers come in. Find out how to get Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

How to unlock Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

To unlock Flippers, you must complete the Power Up the Gate and Finding Flippers quests. You'll first encounter the Power Up the Gate mission as you go through the Hello Kitty Island Adventure main storyline (it's pretty early on). Then, you'll trigger the Finding Flippers quest for the swimming feature.

Power Up the Gate mission guide

For a brief overview of how to complete Power Up the Gate in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, here's what you need to do:

  1. Speak to Chococat to begin the quest
  2. Build the Power Crystal Sensor

    • Requires 3 Sticks: Look around trees on the island
    • Requires 3 Magnets: Provide gifts to Badz-maru, Tuxedosam, and Pochacco

  3. Use the sensor to guide you to a door near Plaza Gate
  4. Ask Chococat to help you open the door by standing on the two panels
  5. Solve the puzzle inside (simply grab a cube and move it over to another panel)
  6. Repeat the process of finding another door and solving a puzzle for the second Yellow Power Crystal
  7. Go to the broken bridge on the northern side of the map
  8. Speak to My Melody and give her two Strawberry Crates (the crates are pretty much everywhere on the island)
  9. Return to the bridge and fix the gate

Construct the Power Crystal Sensor plans, requiring three sticks and three magnets. Fortunately, it'll be relatively easy to find, as sticks are everywhere. The magnets will also be given to you after you provide some friends with gifts.

Badz-maru, Tuxedosam, and Pochacco are the ones who have the magnets, so make sure to get their Friendship rank to at least Level 2. You'll most likely be given items to help you with this, so it shouldn't take too long to complete. Once you make the sensor, the Compass Tool will lead you to a mysterious door. You must participate in two simple puzzles to find the Yellow Power Crystals (just follow the guide to make navigation more accessible). The last one will mandate you to fix a bridge with My Melody, bringing you to a small island with the third crystal.

Finding Flippers mission guide

With all three Yellow Power Crystals, cross over to the new area to discover the frog Keroppi. Take a left turn to find a ladder, then climb up to reach Keroppi. He'll give you the plans to craft the Flippers and one set of Fins when speaking to him.

All that's left is the Strap, found inside a chest to the left of Keroppi. You'll then have the resources needed for the recipe, allowing you to craft it at the table near Chococat.

Once you've crafted the Flippers, a whole new world opens up. You can finally swim around the island, reaching those far-away destinations. The only thing holding you back is the inability to go underwater, preventing you from missions like Hangyodon's Welcome Gift. But don't worry, we've got you covered.

How to go underwater in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

You can unlock underwater swimming by acquiring the Snorkel, which involves Kuromi's Level 6 Deep Diving quest. Kuromi will give you the crafting recipe, requiring 10 Rubbers, two Sparks, and two Ingots. Rubber will be the easiest to acquire since it's scattered around the Seaside Resort. Then, you can move on to the Ingots, crafted with Iron from Mount Hothead.

For the Spark, you must unlock the Spark Crafting Plans from Pochacco's Level 4 Friendship quest. Chococat and Kuromi will help you with this recipe, providing you with the plans and Light Stone resources. If you need tips for finding these ingredients, check out our Snorkel guide for an in-depth explainer. After you've collected these materials, it's time to craft the Snorkel, permitting you to tackle those underwater missions in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

There's a ton of content in Hello Kitty Island Adventure that takes place underwater. You can find an entire city in the water, with one character, Hangyodon, residing within it. You'll need a snorkel to reach this region, but making one requires traveling around the map for various resources.

How to unlock Deep Diving in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Crafting a snorkel and unlocking diving underwater requires completing Kuromi's friendship level six quest, Deep Diving. During the mission, she'll let you borrow her snorkel to dive underwater in the swamp and grab her locket. Although she won't let you keep it, she'll give you a crafting recipe that allows you to make your own.

Below is the snorkel's crafting recipe:

  • Rubber (10)
  • Spark (2)
  • Ingot (2)

Once you have all three items, head to Chococat's crafting table to create a snorkel, completing the Deep Diving quest and allowing you to dive underwater anywhere on Hello Kitty Island Adventure's map.

How to find Rubber

Rubber is an abundant resource all around Seaside Resort. You'll find Rubber on the ground as you explore this area, appearing as dark purple balls along pathways and hills. They also respawn regularly, giving you tons of opportunities to pick some up as you play.

How to craft Spark

Spark is trickier, requiring you to complete Pochacco's level four friendship quest, A Zipline Adventure. Pochacco discovers a broken zipline during this quest and asks for your help repairing it. You'll both ask Chococat for assistance, giving you a Spark crafting recipe.

Creating one Spark requires three Light Stone, a resource Kuromi gives you whenever you give her a gift. Since you need level six friendship to unlock the snorkel, you'll likely have plenty of these already. If not, find Kuromi and give her some gifts before heading back to your crafting station and making two Spark.

How to find and craft Iron Ingots

Next up are ingots, which you can craft using three Iron. It is found in Mount Hothead, a region northwest of Seaside Resort. The easiest way to get here early on is to go to Moon Island and swim to the southernmost dock connected to Mount Hothead.

Screenshot by Destructoid

Iron spawns regularly along rocks in Mount Hothead rather than grass or sand. Although it isn't as common as rubber or sticks, you can still find several around rocky areas that appear as small ore-like stones. If you have a couple of stamina upgrades, you can also climb the mountain for more spawns.

You will also need an ingot crafting recipe, which you'll find next to a cabin in Gemstone Mountain. You can access this area using bridges connected to Spooky Swamp and Mount Hothead. Spooky Swamp's ziplines also act as a quick and easy way to reach this area. If you finished the zipline quest from earlier, you can visit one northwest of the Ghost Cart Ride and use it to access Gemstone Mountain directly. From here, you'll find the recipe on a barrel north of the Gemstone Town mailbox.

As you befriend Kuromi in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, she'll show you a Green Power Crystal that activates a nearby Haunted Mansion. Upon entering, you'll find several doors you need to activate to reach the top floor and advance through the Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp quest.

Although this goal sounds simple, you'll instantly find a peculiar quest objective titled "Survive the Haunted Mansion." In short, you need to solve puzzles within ten rooms to light up their respective lights. Here's how to complete all ten haunted mansion rooms in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp quest guide

After inserting the Green Power Crystal into a nearby pedestal and activating the haunted mansion, you'll find a door leading deeper into the building. From here, you'll find a total of ten numbered rooms along an ascending staircase, each holding puzzles that range in difficulty and complexity. You'll also spot a treasure chest near the mansion's entrance containing a witch costume you'll need later in this quest.

Here's the solution for all ten haunted mansion rooms during Hello Kitty Island Adventure's Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp quest.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Mansion - Room one

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Haunted Mansion room one
Screenshot by Destructoid

The first haunted mansion room is by far the easiest, acting as a small maze with a second door at the end. If you move forward in this room, you'll eventually run into a mirror blocking the way to the exit. Instead, you'll need to head back to the room's entrance, turn right, and head up past the chairs.

From here, you'll have two paths leading to the exit. Take the bottom path and run up to complete the first of these ten rooms.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Mansion - Room two

The second room acts a little differently, featuring disappearing floor panels rather than invisible mirrors. On the ground, you'll see raised square panels that, when stepped on, teleport you back to the room's beginning. Run through the corridor while avoiding these squares to reach the exit and complete the second room.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Mansion - Room three

Now that you know how invisible mirrors and floor panels work, it's time to complete a room that combines both. The third room will start you in front of several dining tables, with mirrors and squares appearing throughout the path between the start and exit. From the beginning, head right and travel up past the first set of tables before moving to the middle and running straight into the doorway, completing the third room.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Mansion - Room four

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Haunted Mansion room four

Room four is much trickier than the last three rooms, requiring you to enter the correct door. The catch? There are 11 doors to choose from. If you want to figure out this puzzle without hints, head through each door individually until you find the correct one leading to a green-lit entrance.

If you've already tried this, you'll find the correct door on the second floor to your left. It's the door to the left of the mirror. Entering this will complete the room instantly, teleporting you in front of the fourth entrance and preparing you for the halfway point.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Mansion - Room five

It's time for another puzzle in room five. This time, we have a two-part puzzle involving colored buttons and levers to your left. Finding the button solutions requires solving the levers, so we'll start there.

To your left, you'll find four grey levers in a square that, when pulled, will turn green. To complete this puzzle, activate each lever in clockwise order until you've pulled all four to turn them all green, unlocking a door that leads to the button solution.

Once you read the door passcode pedestal, step on the red and green buttons to finish the puzzle, unlock the exit and officially mark the halfway point in the Haunted Mansion portion of the Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp quest.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Mansion - Room six

Remember those levers from the previous room? It's time to repeat this puzzle but with a two-by-three grid of levers. Although the method before won't work, that's alright because this solution is even simpler: activate two levers in opposite corners to complete the puzzle and open the next exit. Make sure to open the treasure chest outside of room six's exit before heading to the next area.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Mansion - Room seven

It's time to test your maze skills with room seven. If you move forward in this room, you'll see four purple bookshelves blocking the way to the exit. You'll need to clear these away using levers found throughout the maze.

There are four levers to find in the maze. Here are the steps to finding the first one:

  1. From the entrance, head forward and turn right at the first intersection.
  2. Head down at the next intersection before right and immediately running up the next corridor.
  3. At the My Melody painting, turn right, head up, and turn left to find the first lever.

Once you activate the first lever, your first bookshelf will disappear, opening a new path. Retrace your steps and approach this new entrance before following its snake pattern to the bottom of the room. You'll find the next lever here, opening a new path directly north of the previous one. Head here to start searching for the third lever.

Fortunately, this next one is also simple. Starting from the second bookshelf's location, head left through the path until you reach the wall before going up, turning right, and activating the next lever. This will open the bookshelf on the opposite side of the hall, unlocking the route to the final lever.

Here are the steps to finding the fourth and final lever of the room:

  1. Head right through the third bookshelf's corridor until you reach a wall.
  2. Head up slightly before turning right.
  3. Head down at the first intersection, following the snake pattern until you find the lever.

Now that the final bookshelf is gone, head through the door to complete room seven. We're now on to the eighth room, which, fortunately, is slightly simpler than this one.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Mansion - Room eight

We're back to disappearing floor panels with room eight of Hello Kitty Island Adventure's haunted mansion. If you try to walk straight forward in this room, you'll step on a trap panel and be sent back to the beginning. Don't worry; there's an easy way to solve this one.

In this room, you'll also find two buttons that, when stepped on, reveal which panels are trapped and which are safe to traverse. Starting from the panels next to the left button, take the following path to reach the exit:

  1. Walk up from the button until your character stands next to a small window.
  2. Walk right until you stop in front of the exit door.
  3. Slowly move diagonally from this spot and walk right until you reach the wall.
  4. Move up to the clock before running left and exiting through the door.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Haunted Mansion room eight
Screenshot by Destructoid

Of the ten rooms in this mansion, room eight is one of the most challenging, with the next being noticeably easier. It's time to pull some more levers.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Mansion - Room nine

Upon entering the ninth room of the haunted mansion, You'll first find two levers and three paths, two of which have their floor removed. Pulling the right lever will lead you to a dead end, while the left creates a path to the next section of the room.

You don't have to do anything else once you reach the second set of paths. Instead, head down the right-most path and exit the door before entering the final puzzle room of this mansion.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Mansion - Room ten

Two branching paths will greet you in the tenth and final puzzle room. Heading right brings you to a dead end, while running up leads you to a lever. Pulling this activates parts of the floor that were previously inaccessible, allowing you to advance through the room. Don't move right from here, or you'll fall off the map and have to start over.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Haunted Mansion room ten first lever
Screenshot by Destructoid

Instead, return to the entrance and go down the right path from before. With the lever activated, you now have a full path to the opposite side of the room, leading to another lever. You'll now be blocked off from the left side of the map and instead have a pathway in the center of the room to travel down for a third lever. Pull this to unlock another path.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Haunted Mansion room ten second lever

With a new path leading north of your current spot, run up, and be careful you don't accidentally fall into the small one-tile gap in the floor. Before reaching this edge, turn right and follow the wall before pulling the fourth lever. Although you have more tiles leading to the door, it's not quite enough to get you out of the room.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Haunted Mansion room ten third lever

Although you've already pulled every lever in the room, you can still activate them again to change the floors. With this in mind, head to the center lever again and pull it before running to the bottom right and activating it. You'll now notice a long path around the room's perimeter that, although long, leads to the exit door.

After leaving this room, you can access the haunted mansion's final room. You'll find another Green Power Crystal for a nearby Ghost Tour Ride here. Although the journey up this mansion was long, you can make the exit short by using the "0" labeled lever to the left of the final room, bringing you to the bottom of the stairs next to the exit.

Completing the Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp quest

Congratulations, you've successfully survived the Spooky Swamp's Haunted Mansion. To complete Hello Kitty Island Adventure's Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp quest from here, head north and follow the map marker to where Kuromi is and activate the Ghost Ride podium. You'll have a brief chat with the group before learning more about the ghost ride and your next objective.

Although the Ghost Ride is partially active now, you'll need to clear away some dense fog before it becomes fully operational. You'll find levers around the area to turn on lamps that, once activated, will clear some of it away.

Getting rid of the fog and riding the Ghost Ride will lead you to discover a Secret Cave in the Spooky Swamp. Within the cave, you'll spot a treasure chest containing a Spooky Witch Hat and a third Green Power Crystal. It's time to unlock one last podium.

Unlike the previous locations, this one requires you to dress up as a spooky witch. By now, you'll have two parts from the mansion and this cave. After equipping them through your inventory, head south toward the quest market and talk to the Nul before inserting the final Green Power Crystal. After one final conversation, you'll unlock a new crafting recipe and complete the Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp quest.

How to get Ravenous Axe in Jujutsu Infinite https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-ravenous-axe-in-jujutsu-infinite/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-get-ravenous-axe-in-jujutsu-infinite https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-ravenous-axe-in-jujutsu-infinite/#respond Thu, 30 Jan 2025 13:52:58 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1003483 domain expansion guide in jujutsu infinite

The Ravenous Axe in Jujutsu Infinite is one of the most powerful Cursed Tools you can find, but obtaining it can be quite difficult.

Since it's a Special Grade item, obtaining this tool can be really hard, and it will boil down to luck. Thanks to its in-game stats and abilities, the Ravenous Axe remains as popular today as it was at launch a month back. Let's take a look at how you can obtain it in the first place and if the grind is worth it at all.

How to obtain the Ravenous Axe in Jujutsu Infinite

Most of the Cursed Tools in Jujutsu Infinite usually require you to complete certain tasks. To get the Ravenous Axe, you'll have to complete the Numa Temple Set missions or the Kura Camp missions. Once you complete the missions, you'll obtain different chests. There's a chance for the Ravenous Axe to be included in them.

The odds will be really low since the Ravenous Axe is a Special-Grade item, after all. You can improve your chances with the help of Vials and Beckoning Cats. Ultimately, you'll have to open a fair few chests to have a realistic chance.

Naturally, this task is easier said than done. Both the Numa Temple Set missions and the Kura Camp missions are mid-game content, so beginners should focus on leveling up first. Once you are at sufficiently higher levels, you can attempt to try for this specific Cursed Tool.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUU-gti5b-g

Ravenous Axe stats in Jujutsu Infinite

The Ravenous Axe has three powerful moves, unlocked at different Mastery levels.

Mastery Level Move Effect
1 (Z Move) Ravenous Flock Send a flock of ravens to deal damage. All enemies hit by the move will be marked with black feathers
50 (X Move) Crow Strike Summon a large raven that attacks enemies marked by Ravenous Flock.
100 (C Move) Flock Of Many Transform into a flock of ravens and move around with speed.

While there is no doubting the potential and ability of this amazing item, the tough part is to obtain it in the first place. Unlike items like the Fortune Set, you can't craft it using any other resource.

The Momraga Soul is one of the latest additions to Anime Spirits, and you can unlock it to wreak havoc on your enemies.

The latest addition is a variant of the Mahoraga Soul, and it has incredibly powerful abilities. To yield its powers, you'll have to unlock it first. Let's take a look at how you can obtain it inside the game and if it's worth the grind.

How to obtain the Momraga Soul in Anime Spirits

The Momraga Soul requires you to take on the MommyRaga boss in Anime Spirits and defeat her successfully. You can find MommyRaga boss at JJK Island in the 1st Sea. You'll find the MommyRaga Dungeon at this location, and the boss will be located inside it. If you want to get the Momraga Soul, you'll need to defeat the Super Variant of the boss.

Even if you manage to defeat her, the Momraga Soul will spawn randomly as a reward drop. If you don't get the soul, don't be disheartened, as you'll end up getting a lot of valuable items. The resources required to awaken the Momraga Soul can also be obtained by defeating the Super Variant of MommyRaga.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKu7Ci-YI_I

Here are all the requirements you'll need to awaken the soul.

  • 1 DivineRaga Energy
  • 1 Harmony Technique
  • 1 Momraga Scroll

Once you obtain the Momraga Soul and the awakening materials, go to the Momraga Awakener (right next to the MommyRaga Dungeon). You'll be able to awaken the soul at this location by using the materials.

All Momraga Soul abilities in Anime Spirits

The Momraga Soul offers six different abilities, which include direct attacks and stat boosts.

  • Divine Roar (E): Unleashes a huge wave of energy blast that does a lot of damage.
  • Divine Combo (Z): Summons spirit fists, which do rapid uppercut slashes. Deals damage and knocks back enemies.
  • Cycles of Harmony (X): Releases charged-up Cursed Energy to do AoE damage.
  • Harmony Beam (C): Releases a beam of charged Cursed Energy and damages all enemies along its path.
  • Momraga (V): Transforms your character to Momraga, raising Soul's damage and an overall damage boost of 254%.
  • Harmony Slashes (T): Unleashes a series of slashes in a massive area for 4 seconds and wipe out enemies in both air and ground.

Just like in all other TD experiences out there, you will need some basic information to get you started. Thankfully, AF has a wiki board full of data on basically everything in the game. Game modes, units, traits, items, NPCs, you name it, all are in one place: the Anime Fantasy Trello board.

Anime Fantasy Trello and Other Socials

Anime Fantasy has multiple socials through which you can stay up-to-date with new announcements and updates. Some of them also let you interact with other members of the community as well. Here are all the most important Anime Fantasy socials you might wanna tune in to:

What is The Anime Fantasy Trello?

The Anime Fantasy Trello board is basically a collection of information about all aspects of the game. It's organized into columns made up of cards, all on the same topic. Besides info on the game mechanics, passive effects, and gamepasses, you can find out more about the following:

  • Units: A list of units currently available in the game, along with some basic information on them.
  • Traits: All traits in the game and the bonuses they provide to your units.
  • NPCs: List of NPCs, their locations, and their purpose in the game.
  • Items: All items used for evolving units, rerolling your traits, etc.

What is The Anime Fantasy Discord?

Contributors to the AF board might not regularly update it. However, there is another way to find information on the latest updates in Anime Fantasy, and that is on the official AF Discord server. Here, you can chat with others, sign up for events and giveaways, and even make some suggestions to the developers. Also, make sure to turn on the notifications for the #update-log and #announcements channels to stay up-to-date with new content.

How to Best Search The Anime Fantasy Trello and Discord?

As developers add more content to Anime Fantasy, you will find both the Trello and the Discord harder to navigate. So, make sure to use the filters option (F key) on Trello to search for specific cards. As for the AF Discord server, here are some handy prefixes you can use to narrow your searches:

Prefix Use Prefix Use
in: channel-name Use to search specific channels like the #questions one (in: questions). before: date Look for messages that were sent before a specific date.
from: username Search for messages from a specific user. after: date Use to find messages that were sent after a certain date.
has: image Find all the messages that contain images. pinned: true Find all messages that are pinned on the server.

And that's it for our guide on the official Anime Fantasy Trello and Discord. For more Roblox content, make sure to check out the Roblox guides section of Destructoid.

How to reach and beat the boss in Black Ops 6 The Tomb https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-reach-and-beat-the-boss-in-black-ops-6-the-tomb/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-reach-and-beat-the-boss-in-black-ops-6-the-tomb https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-reach-and-beat-the-boss-in-black-ops-6-the-tomb/#respond Thu, 30 Jan 2025 04:37:39 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1003557 Gate to Tomb final boss

Upon reaching the end of the Tomb's Main Quest, you'll go toe to toe with the final boss, known as the "Sentinel Artifact." We'll show you how to defeat this enemy in BO6 Zombies, including how to start it and what preparations you need to make.

How to start the final boss fight in BO6 The Tomb

To unlock the final boss fight in BO6 Zombies The Tomb, you must acquire and upgrade the Ice Staff. Then, you'll need to use this Elemental Staff to complete four trials with the Amalgam, Parasite, Doppelghast, and Vermin statues. If you need help with these objectives, check out our complete guide on the Tomb Main Quest. Once you've obtained the Ice Staff and completed the statue challenges, head to the broken bridge at Dark Aether Nexus to start the final boss fight.

Interact with the pedestal there, which will fix the bridge. Cross it, and you'll notice a mirror-like object in the center. You'll see an option to 'Start the Final Encounter.' But, before you begin this venture, it's crucial to make some preparations first.

Best weapons and abilities to use for Tomb boss

You can use a few weapons in the Sentinel Artifact fight, including the GPMG-7 LMG or ASG-89 Shotgun. It's also a good idea to use the Ice Staff, which you should already have from the previous Main Quest objectives.

Wileding the Ice Staff in BO6 Zombies

Now that I've spent some time in this showdown, I believe it's best not to bring in the Mustang and Sally build. As much as I love this dual weapon, I learned it does not damage the Sentinel Artifact. It can only be damaged with bullet-based weapons, so anything with explosives won't do you good here.

As for other preparations, here's a few things you need to have:

  • Weapons at Pack a Punch Level 3 and Legendary rarity (mandatory)
  • All Perk Colas (mandatory)
  • 3 Plated Armor (mandatory)
  • Aether Shroud (mandatory)
  • Mutant Injection
  • Free Fire GobbleGum
  • Perkaholic GobbleGum
  • Decoy Grenades

Without the mandatory upgrades or items, the fight will be brutal, and you may go down in no time. The other upgrades, like GobbleGums and Mutant Injection, aren't all that necessary, but they are nice to have. For example, you can use Perkaholic to reclaim your perks after a revive or use Free Fire when shooting at the boss. You can still get by without them, so don't stress if you don't have these gums.

How to defeat the final boss in BO6 The Tomb

For a quick overview of what to expect during this final showdown, here's a breakdown of each phase:

  • Phase 1: Sentinel Artifact will be immune in its red/orange state. Wait until its blue or purple to attack it.
  • Phase 2: Boss will split into multiple pieces and unleash wide-ranged attacks.
  • Phase 3: A Sentinel Artifact piece will latch onto a glowing red zombie. Eliminate this foe quickly, forcing the Sentinel Artifact to come out of it. Shoot at this artifact (avoid the others).
  • Phase 4: Boss will now latch onto Elite Zombies like Doppelghasts and Shock Mimics. Bring them down to get the Sentinel Artifact out.
  • Phase 5: Hordes of Elite Zombies will appear, including another one that will be glowing red.
  • Phase 6: All artifacts will line up and direct light beams on a wall. Focus your attention on the wall and shoot at the Sentinel Artifact there.

Once you've begun the battle, the Sentinel Artifact will be immune to your attacks while in an orange/red-colored state. Don't waste your time shooting at it; focus more on the zombies for now.

Avoid the boss' beam attack as it circles around the battlefield. Take cover near the pillars on the ground, where the boss won't be able to hit you. Use the Elemental Staff's Ice Storm to eliminate hordes of zombies instantly.

Pillars in the Dark Aether Nexus

Wait until the Sentinel Artifact glows purple/blue to deal damage to it. You won't have much time here, and you must unleash as many bullets as you can to get its health bar down. This is where Aether Shroud comes into play, hiding you from zombies temporarily. You can also use the Free Fire GobbleGum for maximum ammo.

Sentinel Artifact shooting a beam
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Sentinel Artifact will go back and forth with its immune and vulnerable forms throughout the match. The enemy will also split into multiple parts, unleashing more beam attacks. Repeat the process of taking cover at the pillars and striking the artifact when it's in its purple/blue state.

By the mid-point, you'll have to eliminate glowing red zombies. The Sentinel Artifact will be hiding inside them, so you must try to get it out. Once you do, spray a ton of bullets onto it. You'll need to repeat this step a few more times, as the boss will continue to latch itself onto a specific zombie or an Elite Zombie.

Keep your distance from the glowing red zombies, as they can bring you down. You'll have to eliminate them quickly, or the zombies will respawn. Eventually, the Sentinel Artifacts will shoot multiple beams of light against the wall.

Shoot the artifact on the wall to conclude the Tomb's final boss battle in BO6 Zombies. Now, you can finally take a breather and watch the exclusive cutscene. Ensure to claim your mission rewards, including the X91 Ice-Pike Weapon, 5,000 XP, and Tomb Calling Card.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel: February 2025 banlist – what to know https://www.destructoid.com/yu-gi-oh-master-duel-february-2025-banlist-what-to-know/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=yu-gi-oh-master-duel-february-2025-banlist-what-to-know https://www.destructoid.com/yu-gi-oh-master-duel-february-2025-banlist-what-to-know/#respond Wed, 29 Jan 2025 23:54:25 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1003025 Yu-Gi-Oh!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is one of the most popular ways to play the famous card game, and Konami supports its digital simulator by giving it its own unique format. As opposed to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game or Official Card Game formats, which receive updates to their Forbidden & Limited Lists every few months, Master Duel sees updates to its list about once a month. These frequent lists are often used to micro-adjust the metagame and test to see what's actually working. The list that goes into effect on February 5th, 2025 follows that example, but with a few big changes.

FORBIDDEN

Image via Konami

Card Name Change
Secret Village of the Spellcasters 3 > 0
Summon Limit 1 > 0

There aren't many cards being banned, but what's being banned matters. Summon Limit and Secret Village of the Spellcasters are floodgates that run rampant on the meta, depending on the format. Even at their best, they are cards that shut down other players and keep them from playing. Many players have been calling for floodgates to be phased out of standard formats for years, and Konami has been slowly answering that call. Master Duel being a best-of-one format means that floodgates have been a terror to anyone facing them. Summon Limit is already banned and limited in the TCG and OCG, respectively. Secret Village of the Spellcasters, though, marks a more aggressive move against floodgates on Master Duel's part, as the card is currently still unlimited in both other formats.

LIMITED

Image via Konami

Card Name Change
Anti-Spell Fragrance 2 > 1

Only one card being limited here, but it continues the trend of addressing floodgates and changing the meta through small adjustments over time. Anti-Spell Fragrance is another card that is only good in certain match-ups and formats, but it is no less aggravating to the average player. Alongside slowing down play, some decks, like those playing Pendulum monsters, are rendered completely moot against this trap. The number being reduced makes it that much more rare a player will have to deal with it.

SEMI-LIMITED

Image via Konami

Card Name Change
Maxx "C" 3 > 2
Sangen Kaimen 3 > 2
Nightmare Throne 3 > 2

The semi-limited list is controversial because all of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s formats tend to use them as a sort of quarantine zone, a way to test the waters and see what changing ratios for decks does to the game. This list of semi-limits is very much the same, but what's actually being hit is more notable than usual. Firstly, Sangen Kaimen and Nightmare Throne are notable hits to the "Tenpai" and "Yubel" decks that have been operating at the highest tiers of the meta for some time. Both decks have been dominating the card game in all formats for the second half of 2024, and Tenpai in particular benefits form Master Duel's best-of-one format as a deck that wants to take its turn second. The Master Duel lists have been slowly chipping away at these decks since release, and this will have an effect on them, but it probably isn't the deathblow some players might be hoping for. But every change to these decks does weaken them and their consistency, and with new meta archetypes being added to the format, maybe you'll be able to overcome them.

The big change for this list is the inclusion of Maxx "C". Since Master Duel's release, this insect-type has been something of a plague for players. The card has been banned in the TCG for a number of years, but it was still unlimited in the OCG when Master Duel first released, partially basing its ban list on the OCG's The card has been part of the "Master Duel Tax," a term coined players to describe a handful of cards that you needed to play for your deck to be remotely viable on Master Duel's ranked ladder. Those cards have consisted of Maxx "C" for drawing on every opponent's special summon, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to negate Maxx "C", and several cards that are only in the deck to stop Ash Blossom from negating Maxx "C". This chain of interactions also earned the nickname "The Maxx 'C' Minigame." Maxx "C" has been the center of many debates about the format, and Konami has finally given an answer. This semi-limit is in tandem with the same change made in the OCG some time ago, though Master Duel tends to go through ban list cycles quicker.

Maxx "C" isn't just being seemingly phased out for no reason, however. All of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s formats have seen the arrival of the "Mulcharmy" monsters, Purulia, Fuwalos, and Meowls. These cards take the "draw on Special Summon" effect of Maxx "C" and split it amongst multiple monsters, with their own unique drawback to using them. If Maxx "C" going to 2 really is a sign of future things to come, it's in your best interest to find out if the Mulcharmy cards are good replacements for your deck.

UNLIMITS

Image via Konami

Card Name Change
Morphing Jar 1 > 3
Cyber Jar 0 > 3
Aluber the Jester of Despia 2 > 3
Bystial Saronir 1 > 3
Branded Opening 2 > 3
Destiny HERO - Celestial 0 > 3

One thing that is Master Duel excels at with its unlimits continues to be identifying cards that do not need to remain on the list and releasing them to the masses. Sometimes it's because the card is no longer a problem or maybe it was never a problem at all. This unlimit list features exactly that. It's cutting chaff off the list.

Morphing Jar and Cyber Jar are recognizable to anyone who played Yu-Gi-Oh! back in the early 2000s. They were core parts of the infamous Empty Jar deck, whose win condition was to mill your opponent's deck until they had nothing left or to annoy them so much by reseting the entire game with Cyber Jar that they just quit. FLIP-effect monsters just don't have what it takes in the modern game, and these cards could have gone to 3 any time in the last few years. But, now that they're here you can find some support for FLIP monsters and really surprise a friend or some poor gamer on the ladder. The shock might win you a game.

Aluber the Jester of Despia and Branded Opening are cards to support the ever-popular "Branded" archetype. Despite being a few years old already, Branded has continued to see play and get decent results. There was a brief time in Master Duel when the deck was a menace, and these cards were put on the list to slow down its briefly-lived dominance. The fact that the Branded archetype is having its card lore adapted into an anime may or may not play some part in this decision. Bystial Saronir, similarly, sees a lot of play in Branded decks alongside its Bystial brethren. Bystial Saronir, in particular, has explicit synergy with Branded decks, but it'll find a home in any deck that wants to run a Dark Dragon. It's an even better time to consider building a Branded deck if you're so inclined.

Limping back into the format, finally, is Destiny HERO - Celestial. Celestial was banned fairly early after Master Duel's release as a way of dealing with the boss monster that used to plague the meta-game, Destiny HERO Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer (DPE). DPE was summoned through a combination of cards, mostly the infamous Link-2 Monster Predaplant Verte Anaconda, which could send any "Fusion" card to the graveyard and then activate its effect. Celestial was the fusion material of choice for an even more profitable DPE. When it was banned, players simply found a different Destiny HERO to make DPE with. So, Celestial has been sitting in jail for crimes committed by monsters who remain unbanned even now, but his sentence is over, and he can return to HERO players like me, where we will happily send him to the grave as fusion material once again.

DECRAFTING BONUS

If you happen to have multiple copies of any cards on the list that are having their numbers reduced, don't decraft them until after the ban list goes into effect. Once the list goes live on February 5th, you can decraft any cards that are being banned, limited, or semi-limited and receive extra crafting dust for new cards. Instead of the usual 10 Crafting Points, you'll 20 of the type you're decrafting. Hold onto those Maxx "C"s just a little bit longer so you can get closer to replacing it with a Mulcharmy. The defrafting bonus will only last from February 5th to March 5th.

How to fix ‘failed to join because of different version’ error in Black Ops 6 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-fix-failed-to-join-because-of-different-version-error-in-black-ops-6/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-fix-failed-to-join-because-of-different-version-error-in-black-ops-6 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-fix-failed-to-join-because-of-different-version-error-in-black-ops-6/#respond Wed, 29 Jan 2025 22:52:39 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1003602 BO6 Season 2 cover

Any time a new season drops in Call of Duty, there are bound to be a few hiccups as more players tune in for the update. In particular, you may have encountered the 'failed to join because of different version' error. Here are a few solutions to this problem.

BO6 'join failed because you are on a different version' error solutions

The BO6 'different version' error appears whenever you're trying to join a party. Standard fixes like restarting your game or installing a new patch don't seem to address it, but fortunately, players have discovered a few workarounds with these methods:

  • Join a 'Recent Players' lobby and connect with your friend from the other player's lobby
  • Clear 'Reserved Space' data (Xbox users)
  • Join a random party, exit out of it, and then join your friend's party
  • All parties must restart their game

Reddit user notoxicity discovered a fix that requires you to join a recent player's lobby. You can find the 'Recent Players' hub in the Social tab and choose anyone active. Then, join your friend in this lobby to bypass the Black Ops 6 'different version' error. You can also join a random person's lobby and exit out of it immediately after if the first route doesn't work.

Player RussselVVilson also found another solution that involves clearing your Xbox game data. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to 'Manage Game & Add Ons' on your game file
  2. Select 'Saved Data'
  3. Select 'Reserved Space'
  4. Choose 'Clear Reserved Space'

Clearing the Reserved Data on your console could help refresh it, allowing you to join lobbies shortly after. Alternatively, you and your friends can restart the game together. If you restart your game alone, it doesn't seem to do much. But when everyone does it, things could go more in your favor.

Hopefully, one of the solutions above will help you fix the Black Ops 6 'failed to join because of a different version' error. They'll at least bypass it for now until the developers install a new patch. The Call of Duty Updates Twitter/X has indicated that a fix will arrive shortly. However, I have noticed that this bug tends to come up a lot during launches, so you can use these solutions if it ever happens again. You can also check out our fixes for the Dev Error 5820 and Packet Burst issues, which appear frequently for many CoD users.

The Perception Blocking Mask is an extremely powerful wearable item in Jujutsu Infinite, and it provides a wonderful set of stat boosts along with a handy passive effect.

The Legendary item might be a good fit for most builds, but you'll have to obtain it first. It's not easy to get the higher-rarity items, as obtaining them depends largely on your luck. Let's take a look at how to get the Perception Blocking Mask in Jujutsu Infinite and if it's worth your grind.

How to obtain the Perception Blocking Mask in Jujutsu Infinite

There are two ways to obtain the Perception Blocking Mask. The first method might be quicker, but you'll be relying on your luck. You'll have to successfully complete Detention Center Investigations, which will provide you with Investigation Chests. The Perception Blocking Mask can be obtained as a Legendary drop from these chests.

As lucrative as this sounds, it's a difficult task. The odds of obtaining a Legendary item are pretty low, to begin with. If you're not getting the rub of good luck, you can use Detention Center Keys to get the item. Detention Center Keys are also obtained by completing the Detention Center Investigations, and you'll need 100 of them.

Once you've either obtained it from the chest or crafted it with the Detention Center Keys, you can equip it in the Head slot.

Jujutsu Infinite Perception Blocking Mask stats

The Perception Blocking Mask is an amazing defensive item, and it boosts your Health by 71.5 points. It's a great fit for a tanky build, which might be highly useful in tough fights like World Bosses. The item also has an extremely useful passive called Perception Block.

Perception Block provides a 20% damage boost when you're going up against enemy hordes. It also gives you the chance to initiate the battle when you want, allowing you time to strategize properly. All things considered, the Perception Blocking Mask is an amazing defensive item that fits well with most builds in Jujutsu Infinite.

All new features in Minecraft’s cow update https://www.destructoid.com/all-new-features-in-minecraft-cow-update/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=all-new-features-in-minecraft-cow-update https://www.destructoid.com/all-new-features-in-minecraft-cow-update/#respond Wed, 29 Jan 2025 18:59:02 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1003505 Cow variants in Minecraft

The adorable Mobs have been getting some love in Minecraft with the latest lineup of variants. Each new form changes the look of their classic designs, bringing more variety to the majestic Overworld.

If you want a sneak peek into the new variants, here's what you need to know about the Minecraft cow update.

What's new in the Minecraft cow update?

The official Minecraft page confirms four new features on Java Edition's Snapshot iteration. Once you've downloaded the latest patch, you can expect these changes:

  • 2 New cow variants
  • Firefly Bush
  • New desert sounds
  • Bush greenery

In addition to the original mob, two new cow variants can be found in warm and cold environments. Now, you'll see cows with various brown-colored coats roaming around in their corresponding biomes. I've also noticed that these forms have a much more distinct set of horns than the first iteration. However, unlike the Goat Mob, you can't use these horns as a resource.

To get a glimpse of the new cow variants in Minecraft, let's dive into their designs:

Cold biome cow

Warm biome cow

You'll still see the original cow, with the classic black and white colors, around the map. But, if you travel to biomes like Jungle or Snowy Taiga, the new variants will likely take over these areas. Stick around long enough to discover the Firefly Bushes in the night. Although you can't catch the fireflies in this greenery, you can acquire the bush block to light up your Minecraft house. It'll also be helpful when exploring the Overworld, illuminating your path in dark areas like the swamp.

There's also a new bush block in green-based destinations, including forests, plains, and windswept hills. Their design is akin to grass blocks but with slightly more leaves. Those who want to use the new bush can take advantage of bone meal for faster growth. The good news is that it's pretty easy to get bone meals from skeleton kills, so you'll undoubtedly have more than enough resources for your builds.

Ambient desert sounds are one of the final features of the Minecraft cow update, making you feel like you're venturing around the barren lands of the dunes. Listen closely to hear crickets inside dead bushes or the gentle breeze of the wind. You can even place these ambient sounds inside your home by adding a dead bush on two sandblocks.

Experience all the latest features of this update in the Minecraft Launcher. Bedrock Beta and Preview users can try this out soon once Mojang Studios polishes the update for consoles. You can also check out the new dog variants to see other unique forms within the game, showcasing many designs across the biomes.

Naruto Shippuden filler list of episodes and arcs https://www.destructoid.com/naruto-shippuden-filler-list-of-episodes-and-arcs/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=naruto-shippuden-filler-list-of-episodes-and-arcs https://www.destructoid.com/naruto-shippuden-filler-list-of-episodes-and-arcs/#respond Wed, 29 Jan 2025 17:08:26 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1003316 Naruto: Shippuden

When it comes to absolute powerhouses of anime, Naruto is up there with the best of them. Across Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden, you’ve got 720 episodes to sit down and binge, but are all of them strictly necessary?

While the original Naruto series is 220 episodes worth of world building and getting-to-know-everyone fun and drama, Naruto: Shippuden adds a whopping additional 500 episodes, furthering the story and adding new characters into the mix.

To watch all of Naruto: Shippuden, you’ll need over 200 hours spare (more than 8 days), and that’s one hell of a time sink and a rather daunting commitment. And that’s without adding in the time to watch the original series first, and then the huge number of Boruto episodes that come after.

While each episode holds a certain amount of world building and additional lore, not every episode is considered to be integral to the overarching story of Naruto. If you’re wanting to know which episodes are canon and which are considered filler, we’ve got you covered.

Should you skip the filler in Naruto: Shippuden?

Kakashi in Naruto: Shippuden

While filler episodes of Naruto: Shippuden don’t really bring anything to the table in terms of the overall story, you will miss out on some important world building and background if you choose to skip over them. For instance, Kakashi’s Anbu Arc (episodes 347 - 361) offers valuable insight that will help you to truly understand the impact of Kakashi, who is an absolute fan favorite character.

There are a lot of moments you’ll miss if you choose to skip over the filler, but the choice is yours to make. You won’t be left wondering about anything by missing these episodes, and you can always go back later to fill in the gaps once you’ve reached the end of the main story.

Consider it like completing the main story of a game, then going back to complete side quests afterwards.

Every filler episode in Naruto: Shippuden

Naruto: Shippuden meets back up with the now beloved characters two years after the original series ends, and there’s a whole new cast of people to meet and events to catch up on. However, of the 500 episodes that make up Naruto: Shippuden, 203 of these are considered to be filler.

Sometimes, entire arcs of the anime take you off on side stories that aren’t strictly necessary if you only want to keep up with the main story.

Here’s every filler episode of Naruto: Shippuden, along with what arcs that they make up:

  • Episodes 57 - 71 (Twelve Guardian Ninja Arc)

    • “Robbed of Sleep” to “My Friend”

  • Episodes 91 - 112 (Three-Tails’ Appearance Arc)

    • “Orachimaru’s Hideout Discovered” to “A Place to Return To”

  • Episodes 144 - 151 (Six-Tails’ Unleashed Arc)

    • “Wanderer” to “Master and Student”

  • Episodes 171 and 172

    • “Big Adventure! The Quest for the Fourth Hokage’s Legacy” (Part 1 & 2)

  • Episodes 176 - 196 (Past Arc: The Locus of Konoha)

    • “Rookie Instructor Iruka” to “Drive Towards Darkness”

  • Episodes 223 - 242 (Paradise Life on a Boat Arc)

    • “The Young Man and the Sea” to “Naruto’s Vow”

  • Episodes 257 - 260

    • “Meeting” to “Parting”

  • Episode 271

    • “Road to Sakura”

  • Episodes 279 - 281 (Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation Arc)

    • “White Zetsu’s Trap” to “The Allied Mom Force!”

  • Episodes 284 - 295 (Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation Arc)

    • “Helmet Splitter: Jinin Akebino!” to “Power: Episode Final”

  • Episodes 303 - 320

    • “Ghosts from the Past” to “Run, Omoi!”

  • Episodes 347 - 361 (Fourth Shinobi World War: Climax / Kakashi’s Anbu Arc)

    • “Creeping Shadow” to “Kakashi: Shadow of the ANBU Black Ops - Squad Seven”

  • Episodes 376 and 377

    • “The Directive to Take the Nine Tails” and “Naruto vs. Mecha Naruto”

  • Episodes 388 - 390

    • “My First Friend” to “Hanabi’s Decision”

  • Episodes 394 - 413 (In Naruto’s Footsteps: The Friends’ Paths Arc)

    • “The New Chunin Exams” to “Hopes Entrusted to the Future”

  • Episodes 416 and 417 (Birth of the Ten-Tails’ Jinchuriki Arc)

    • “The Formation of Team Minato” and “You’ll Be My Backup”

  • Episodes 422 and 423 (Birth of the Ten-Tails’ Jinchuriki Arc)

    • “The One Who Will Inherit” and “Naruto’s Rival”

  • Episodes 427 - 450 (Jiraiya Shinobi Handbook: The Tale of Naruto the Hero Arc)

    • “Ninshū: The Ninja Creed” to “The Successor”

  • Episodes 480 - 483 (Childhood Arc)

    • “Naruto and Hinata” to “Jiraiya and Kakashi”

How to watch Naruto: Shippuden

Naruto in Naruto: Shippuden
Image via Crunchyroll

Regardless of whether you want to consume every episode in order, or you want to get through that main story and then get the side stories under your belt, how you can watch it depends on where you’re located.

Here’s how to watch Naruto: Shippuden in both the US and the UK:

Naruto: Shippuden in the US

If you’re US based, then you can watch Naruto: Shippuden on both Hulu and Crunchyroll. Each has all 500 episodes available, and offers its own perks and advantages, depending on your watching style.

Hulu offers 473 of the 500 episodes with English dubbing, so it’s easier to watch in the background or if you’re not entirely able to focus on subtitles. However, the episodes are split into strange and inaccurate seasons, so it’s easy to lose track of exactly where you are unless you’re paying close attention to the episode numbers.

Crunchyroll, on the other hand, only has the series available with subtitles. However, the episodes are split into their respective arcs (for the most part, it all seems to fall apart after the Fourth Great Ninja War - Sasuke and Itachi arc), so you can find specific episodes pretty easily as long as you know which arc they belong to.

Sadly, you’ll need to subscribe to either of these streaming platforms if you want to binge the entirety of Naruto: Shippuden, because it’s simply not possible to complete the series within a 7 day trial. The cheapest Hulu subscription is $9.99 per month, while the cheapest Crunchyroll subscription is $7.99 per month.

Naruto: Shippuden in the UK

If you’re based in the UK, you can still watch Naruto: Shippuden via Crunchyroll. The fan subscription package for us Brits is £4.99 per month. Sadly, that’s our only option when it comes to bingeing this beloved anime, unless you want to invest in a VPN (or happen to have one) to use for this purpose.

Wherever you are, you can also add Crunchyroll to your Amazon Prime account as an additional subscription, which does make it a lot easier to manage and cuts back on websites you need to visit in order to watch.

Best Black Ops Cypher 091 build in Black Ops 6 https://www.destructoid.com/best-black-ops-cypher-091-build-in-black-ops-6/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=best-black-ops-cypher-091-build-in-black-ops-6 https://www.destructoid.com/best-black-ops-cypher-091-build-in-black-ops-6/#respond Wed, 29 Jan 2025 16:52:09 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1003465 Cypher 091 in BO6

Since Black Ops 6's debut, the Assault Rifle class has expanded substantially, giving you many more choices in this balanced collection. Season 2 brought in another classic AR with the arrival of the Cypher 091. However, its base version isn't anything to write home about, especially with its recoil control.

We're here to show you how to improve its performance with the best Cypher 091 build in BO6.

What is the best build for the Cypher 091 in BO6?

You can unlock the Cypher 091 through the Black Ops 6 Season 2 Battle Pass, specifically on Page 8. Equip the following attachments to establish a much more suitable build:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I/Extended Mag 2
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • With Gunfighter Wildcard equipped:

    • Stock: Balanced Stock
    • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
    • Optic: Merlin Mini

Since the Cypher 091's recoil control is a bit wonky, you can attach the Vertical Foregrip and Compensator to compensate for that. The next thing you want to do is give it more firepower using the Reinforced Barrel. You'll gain better damage range and bullet velocity, which helps with this assault rifle's slow fire rate.

You can then enhance the Cypher 091's speed with the Ergonomic Grip, making it feel like an SMG. Placing more ammunition on this build is also essential, as the standard version only includes a 30-mag size. It's up to you on which one you prefer, depending on how many rounds you want in battle. The Extended Mag I bumps it up to a 45-mag size, while the second tier gives you 60 at the cost of mobility. There's not necessarily a wrong choice here, but each has advantages and disadvantages.

Best Cypher 091 build
Screenshot by Destructoid

Fortunately, the Cypher 091 is already exceptional with mobility and handling, so there isn't a dire need to improve these stats. But if you still want to maximize this build, you can equip the Gunfighter Wildcard to place even more attachments. Use the Balanced Stock and Recoil Springs for additional speed and recoil control. Lastly, you can utilize the Merlin Mini Optic to get a clearer picture of the enemy.

This Cypher 091 build is your key to dominating Black Ops 6 Multiplayer, earning you more unique camo skins. And it's not just limited to multiplayer. This build is equally effective in other modes like Warzone and Zombies, making it a versatile and well-rounded choice for any situation.

How to get and use Piranhado in Diablo 4 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-and-use-piranhado-in-diablo-4/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-get-and-use-piranhado-in-diablo-4 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-and-use-piranhado-in-diablo-4/#respond Wed, 29 Jan 2025 16:14:24 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1003094 Diablo 4 Piranhado

Piranhado is one of the new Witchcraft powers that came in Season 7 of Diablo 4. If you’re looking to use this because of all the buzz about it, check out what it is, how it’s good, and how to get it.

What is Piranhado in Diablo 4?

As stated earlier, Piranhado is a new Witchcraft power that you can use in Season 7 of Diablo 4. It pairs with powers that cast both Hex and Auras, grouping enemies together and dealing damage over time.

The more you level it up, the longer duration it has and more damage it does. In short, it’s a CC ability that groups enemies together when meeting certain conditions.

Is Piranhado good?

Piranhado is one of the stronger Unique Witch Powers in Diablo 4 thanks to its ability to pull enemies in every 20 seconds if you pair the right normal Magic powers with it.

It eliminates the need to allocate resources from character abilities or even Uniques to get something like this.

Though 20 seconds can be a long time, this can prove to be very useful for crowd-controlling enemy casted effects as well, reducing random one-shots, and getting better Pit clear times.

How to get Piranhado in Diablo 4

To get Piranhado in Diablo 4, you need to find it while completing Dungeons. Specifically, you need to find a Forgotten Altar. These will be quite tough to find as these Altars have low spawn rates and you aren’t guaranteed to find one for a while.

If you’re having trouble finding one, grind out normally until you get to the Torment difficulties (preferably 3 or 4).

To increase your chances of these spawning, head over to the Headhunt zones and farm the Exposed Roots. Clear the enemy mobs that spawn and you should periodically receive the Draught of Whispers elixir item.

What this elixir does is double your chances of finding a Forgotten Altar in dungeons. At Torment 4, you would then have an hour of 10% Witchcraft Altar spawn chances.

To speed this up, you can use one, clear a normal dungeon (no Nightmare), exit, then Reset Dungeons on your map. The layouts and spawns will refresh, allowing you to run multiple times and hopefully getting you the Piranhado spell.

How to get Indira’s Memory in Diablo 4 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-indiras-memory-in-diablo-4/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-get-indiras-memory-in-diablo-4 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-indiras-memory-in-diablo-4/#respond Wed, 29 Jan 2025 16:07:13 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1002980 Diablo 4 how to farm Indira's Memory

Necro mains, rise; a new potentially meta Unique is now in the game. Indira’s Memory is going to favor Bone Spear builds in Diablo 4, so if that’s something you are looking forward to, this is what you need to know.

How to get Indira’s Memory in Diablo 4

To get Indira’s Memory in Diablo 4, you can either test your luck by playing the typical Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes, Undercity, and other modes, or you can target-farm it by defeating The Beast in the Ice.

You’ll also want to be playing on your Necromancer to ensure that this item will drop. While you can get other class items while playing different characters via the Undercity, it’s best to stick to that specific role.

Besides, as you climb up from the normal modes into Torment difficulties, the likelihood of Ancestrals and Uniques dropping from normal enemies and bosses will go up significantly.

Diablo 4 Beast in the Ice farm

How to access The Beast in the Ice

The Beast in the Ice becomes accessible once you hit the Torment difficulties in Diablo 4. You will need to earn Distilled Fear from the following:

  • Nightmare Dungeons
  • Whisper Caches
  • Elite enemies and bosses
  • World bosses
  • Mercenary Den

You’ll have to collect 12 units of these and then take them to the Glacial Fissure Lair/Dungeon. Once you get past the small section of enemies, spend the 12 Distilled Fear to summon The Beast in the Ice and successfully kill it.

If at any point you die in this fight, you’ll be able to battle it again without having to spend another 12. However, if you quit out, leave, reset dungeons, or disconnect before beating the boss, you will lose those spent Distilled Fear.

Diablo 4 how to farm Indira's Memory

How to farm The Beast in the Ice

Since getting 12 units of the Distilled Fear can take a while, it’s best to farm this stuff through Whisper Caches. With the introduction to the Raven of the Tree in Season 7, you can now turn in your Whispers without having to fast travel to the Tree just to turn these in.

While you’re in the Headhunt Zones (the blue zones that are like Helltides), you can quickly accumulate Whispers by simply killing enemies, helping the NPCs, and unrooting the purple boils.

By doing so, you will earn anywhere between one to three Grim Favors, quickly adding up to ten. By the time you hit ten, just find a Raven of the Tree and pick what kind of cache you want.

The caches, when opened, will give you exactly what you’d normally get by visiting the normal Tree, just without the hassle of having to exit your activity and go back. This prevents ruining the flow of your run but also gives you quite a beat of seasonal XP toward your character and Battle Pass.

Lastly, you should try to LFG (look for group) for people wanting to farm the Beast in the Ice too. It's common practice in games like these where you need some kind of key or set of materials to play a mission or summon a boss. Take turns using up your Distilled Fear to summon and beat the Beast so you can have even more chances at getting an Indira's Memory.

What is so good about Indira’s Memory?

Briefly mentioned earlier, Indira’s Memory will increase the overall potency of Bone Spear builds for the Necromancer class.

With stats into Overpower Damage and skill points into Tides of Blood, you’re effectively getting bigger damage multipliers on Bone Spear because it constantly receives Overpower for the right build with Bone Prison.

Best stat rolls for Indira’s Memory in Diablo 4

If you’re looking for a “god roll” for this item, look out for any of them that have a greater affix (stats with a star). Those stats should go for the following in order of importance:

  • Tides of Blood
  • Overpower Damage
  • Maximum Life
  • Damage Reduction while Injured

Obviously, the better Indira’s Memory is one as close to a max roll of its Unique effect. The closer to 80% you can get for the Blood Skill damage, the better.

If you’re a Blox Fruits player who prefers a more defensive strategy than running at all enemies headfirst, then you’re going to want a great shield to keep you safe. There’s no better one for the job than the powerful Leviathan Shield.

However, if you want this special shield that protects you from all types of damage, then you’re going to need to put the work in, including gathering materials and defeating beasts. Luckily, we’re here to show you how to make a Leviathan Shield of your own.

To craft a Leviathan Shield, you’re going to need the following materials, all of which can be found in the Third Sea:

  • 1 Mirror Fractal The only way to get this Mythical Material is as a drop from the Dough King Raid Boss, who can be found in the Third Sea. This has a 100% drop rate so long as you do at least 10% of the damage to the boss, so you’ll only need to beat him once.
  • 30 Leviathan Scale — Leviathan Scales can be picked up by defeating segments of the Leviathan, also found in the Third Sea. Each segment nets you around two or three scales, and defeating the entire Leviathan normally grants anywhere between 10 to 20 scales.
  • 10 Electric Wing — This rare crafting material is dropped by Piranhas that are found in the Third Sea.
  • 20 Fool’s Gold — You can find Fool’s Gold in the Third Sea at the Grand Brigade Ship Raid, the Haunted Ship Raid, or the Ghost Ship Raid.

How to make the Leviathan Shield in Blox Fruits

Once you’ve got your hands on the right materials, you’ll need to head to the Beast Hunter NPC. He can be found at the Tiki Outpost, which is the final island in the Third Sea. Since you’ve had to fight the Leviathan for its scales, you’ve likely already been here.

Head towards the Boat Dealers, and to the right you’ll see a large building covered with green moss. Make your way up to the top floor of this building, and this is where you’ll find the Beast Hunter.

Offer up your crafting materials, and voila, he’ll make them into a Leviathan Shield for you.

Leviathan Shield Stats and Buffs

The Leviathan Shield boasts one of the best defenses in the game, except against Blox Fruits themselves. Not only does it protect against all kinds of damage, but it also has the highest health buff in the game.

For buffs, this is what the shield offers:

  • +15% defense against sword, gun, and melee attacks
  • +30% defense against Sea Events
  • +90% protection against Sea Damage
  • +1000 Health

While it’s not easy to get a hold of, if you’re a defensive player, you can’t go wrong with the Leviathan Shield.

Black Ops 6 Zombies: Free Perk Easter Egg guide https://www.destructoid.com/black-ops-6-zombies-free-perk-easter-egg-guide/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=black-ops-6-zombies-free-perk-easter-egg-guide https://www.destructoid.com/black-ops-6-zombies-free-perk-easter-egg-guide/#respond Wed, 29 Jan 2025 15:41:46 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1003408 Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Cypher 091

Getting perks in Black Ops 6 Zombies is extremely important if you're looking to prepare for the latter rounds, and getting one for free can be immensely useful.

This method was originally discovered by @MargwaNetwork, who shared it on their X profile. The free perk can be obtained from the Ossuary Area in The Tomb, and it can be highly beneficial in the long run.

Let's take a look at how you can complete this Easter Egg in The Tomb.

How to complete the free perk Easter Egg in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Before we begin the process, you must have a player level of at least 6. You'll need the Napalm Burst Ammo Mod, and this item unlocks at level 6. If you're just a beginner, make sure to complete a couple of games quickly, and you should fit the requirements.

Once you load into the game and start a fresh round in The Tomb, try to find the Arsenal Machine. From here, you'll be able to purchase any mod you want, but make sure to get the Napalm Burst Ammo Mod. Next, keep clearing the zombies till you can reach the Ossuary region.

You'll come across six unlit lamps in the Ossuary region. They can be found on the sides of the three doorways, and they are shot at with the weapon that has the Napalm Burst Ammo Mod. Once you have shot and put all lamps on fire, you'll get a random perk for free.

The free perk will be completely random, so they might not be the best possible fit. However, it's always helpful to have any resource for free as you try to clear as many hordes of Zombies as possible.

If you're still learning the secrets of The Tomb, make sure to go through the main campaign Easter Egg guide, which will help you to get and upgrade the Ice Staff.
